Yes, there is parking all along the front of the building.

Generally, the area that I cover is North London and Hertfordshire.  I can travel to most places subject to my availability, and if my travel and time costs are covered. If you are interested in working with me and are outside of my normal working area, please do get in touch and we can discuss options.

You can wear anything you feel comfortable in.  If you have a specific picture style in mind and are unsure about your outfit, you can always email or call me and I would be happy to give some ideas and advice.

To make things a bit easier, I have put a few bullet points below that may help you to decide:

  • Plain colours are always good for tops, and texture can also look great in photos. Always iron any shirts or tops.
  • Accessories can bring a nice detail to your photography and can be a good opportunity to incorporate a sentimental piece of jewellery. Pocket squares, scarfs, and hats can also be fun, but remember the photos are about you and should not distract from you being the centre of attention within the image.
  • For family shoots, it is a good idea to start with one person and then trying to select outfits that compliment for the others being photographed too.  Try not to match the colours too closely though.  If you are going for natural tones, lights, darks, brights, etc. choose colours that will all work together. I am always happy to discuss this with you in advance of the shoot.
  • For shoots with children, it is a good idea to let children have an input into what to wear (in some way) as in my experience, they are often more engaged in the actual shoot when they feel they have had some say in what they are wearing. If you need a compromise to get them to wear your chosen outfits, please feel free to let them bring a costume or outfit that they love too. You know that it isn't going to be used for the main photos, but we can always leave some time aside to take some shots afterwards or before, for them to get those photographed too.
  • Try to avoid clothing with logos, text, stripes or strong patterns. These details often create distractions in the images and take the focus away from the people being photographed.

I fully understand that unexpected situations do arise, so I am happy to reschedule your booking, providing noice is given at least 48 hours in advance of the shoot. When a booking is made a non-refundable 50% retainer is taken for the price of the photoshoot.

Online payment is accepted by credit or debit card and by bank transfer. Cash, cheques and Amex are not accepted.

No, not at all! This is a question that comes up more than any other. It is very normal to feel self-conscious or uncomfortable at the thought of having your photo taken by a photographer. Most people that visit or work with me are not models. You will find me to be very friendly and easy going with a relaxed style of shooting photos. You are also more than welcome to choose some music to have on in the background to help you relax.

Yes, 100%. For the photoshoot packages, both in studio and on location, you will get a selection of images taken from the shoot to choose from.  Once you have made your selection, depending on the number that are included within your chosen package, I will edit these further for you and these will then be sent as a large format JPG image. For printed photographs, the process will be the same for selection.

After the shoot you can expect to receive your samples to choose from, within 2 weeks.  Once the final selection of images has been made and confirmed to me, it usually takes up to a week to get the final images to you.  For printed photographs, this will be confirmed at the time of placing your order.

Absolutely! If you would like any of the sample images to be converted to monochrome in your selection, let me know and I will happily do this for you.

Yes, definitely. And if it helps you to feel more relaxed, I would certainly recommend it.  Due to space limitations within the studio, please let me know in advance, if you are bringing someone with you, so I can make sure there is an allocated space for them to sit throughout the shoot. For family shoots, where there are more than 2 people then there would not be the space for other persons to attend.

No, under copyright laws, I am the copyright owner of the photographs. You are able to share, print and use the images that you have purchased as you please. Your selected final images will not have any watermarks and will be delivered in high resolution JPEG format.

As a photographer it is important for me to be able to showcase my work and I would like to use my recent work within my portfolio and post onto my website and social media pages. However, if you do not wish for them to be used in this way, please let me know and I will respect your decision and you can keep your photographs private.

You can book me via the contact page, by email hello@babaya.co.uk, my social media pages or by telephone on 0203 903 5051.
